The following Bible passages introduce this week's Bible Lesson. The full Lesson is comprised of Bible passages and correlative scriptures from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy. To read the full Lesson, subscribe or log in.
The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
For they that sleep sleep in the night; . . .
But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
Pray without ceasing.
Quench not the Spirit.
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
. . . now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
